Are you also looking for the Faces of the Past in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? As you explore the game world, you’re bound to encounter landmarks and points-of-interest that have a strange glow. To obtain a reward, you need to pick the right emote. In any case, do take note that this article contains minor spoilers.
All Faces of the Past in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – Reunite with Faces of the Past and emote rewards guide
The Faces of the Past are glowing objects that have a peculiar passage seen when you interact with them. In these instances, you’ll notice that a particular word or action has a blue highlight. Example: “[Pay your respects] before the divine statue to reunite with the faces of the past.”
By choosing the right emote, you’ll receive a reward and you might even hear a voiceover. In any case, our Faces of the Past guide lists the locations where we discovered these landmarks.
Faces of the Past location #1: Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
- Location: This might be one of the first Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Faces of the Past landmark that you spot. From Shu Sanctum, go outside the second-floor opening and head up the sloping path to the right. You’ll stumble upon a wide vista with a statue. Just watch out because the Inner Demon might spawn here, too.
- Required emote: Gaze – Use the emote while standing next to the glowing statue.
- Reward: Candied Haws
Faces of the Past location #2: Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
- Location: After clearing Tang Palace, you should receive the Reverent Temple Key. This allows you to unlock the door at the left-hand side of the yard. Once you’re inside the cave, go to the ledge and check the glowing marker.
- Required emote: Tai Chi
- Reward: Red Mercury Essence
Faces of the Past location #3: Cloudspire – Hillswatch
- Location: From the Hillswatch fast travel point, continue up the slope and past the abandoned houses. As you cross a wooden platform, you should see a glowing tombstone in the ravine below.
- Required emote: Examine
- Reward: Shu Silk Scarf
Faces of the Past location #4: Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
- Location: You might want to bring something that helps resist Frostbite if you want to reach this Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Faces of the Past landmark. If you head to the right of the Shrine, you’ll spot a glowing statue across the bridge.
- Required emote: Worship
- Reward: Soulgrass
Faces of the Past location #5: Cloudspire – Rebel Camp
- Location: The Rebel Camp is filled with enemies. Try to survive as best as you can while heading to the lone tower that’s closest to the fortress–i.e. Snowpeak Pass. You’ll notice a glowing marker at the cliff’s edge.
- Required emote: Water Dance
- Reward: Red Mercury Essence
Faces of the Past location #6: Cloudspire – Bride’s Boudoir
- Location: Upon reaching the cells, you’ll encounter an NPC who has been imprisoned. We don’t want to spoil who it is but, if you walk past this area, you’ll spot another glowing marker on a slab.
- Required emote: Examine
- Reward: Dragon-Fish Pendant
Faces of the Past location #7: Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Antechamber
- Location: This Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Faces of the Past statue is inside a large pavilion behind the Shrine itself. That said, you need to take the long way around by climbing up rooftops and structures until you reach it.
- Required emote: Worship
- Reward: Zhenwu Temple Elixir
Faces of the Past location #8: Mt. Zhenwu – Tomb
- Location: The Tomb area is just across from the Avian Dwelling fast travel point, assuming you’ve gone around the whole zone to unlock shortcuts. That said, getting this emote reward in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers might be one of the toughest challenges in the game. That’s because you’ll face a particular boss here. We definitely don’t want to spoil who it is in our guide.
- Required emote: Worship
- Reward: Loyalty armor set
Faces of the Past location #9: Mt. Zhenwu – Bai Mansion
- Location: You’ll encounter the Storyteller in front of a cave just past Zhenwu Altar. Instead of accepting his proposition, keep exploring the cave until you reach the Ferry Overlook. There’s a boat by the edge of the pier and it will take you to Bai Mansion.
- Required emote: Examine
- Reward: Broken Belled Pinwheel
