Where to find all Inner Demons in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – Inner Demon locations guide

There are six Inner Demon spawn locations in the game. These foes are somewhat different from the regular variants that you fight in relation to the Madness mechanic. Here’s a quick summary:

• Inner Demons normally appear if Wuchang dies while at maximum madness. These opponents will claim her Red Mercury, and you have to defeat them to recover that resource.
• The Inner Demons mentioned in this guide, meanwhile, only spawn in specific locations. They’re still very dangerous, but they also drop nifty loot:
  • Bo Blood – A material used to unlock Madness-related perks in the skill tree.
  • Bone Needles – Items that can be socketed into Temper Acupoints so weapons can gain special effects.

• Location: Annalum (Worship’s Rise) – If we’re going by each zone that you visit, then this would be the first Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Inner Demon that you face. That said, it’s also somewhat missable. Here’s the gist:
  • To reach Annalum, you must go to the village near Shu Sanctum.
  • Once you arrive at the rooftop overlooking the flame-breathing enemy, you’ll see a sloping path to the left.
  • Follow this road and tag the Annalum Shrine. Then, enter the manor grounds.
  • Go down the sloping path at the back of the main building. The Inner Demon should spawn as you approach the lone gazebo.
• Reward: Shadow Stone Needle – Agility – Slightly increases the Agility control of the weapon you’re wielding.

• Location: Lu Mansion (Worship’s Rise) – This particular foe is hard to miss. After tagging the Shrine, head down the elevator and walk to the opposite end of the ravine. The Inner Demon should manifest once you’re close enough.
• Reward: Shadow Stone Needle – Strength – Slightly increases the Strength control of the weapon you’re wielding.

• Location: Cloudspire Outskirts (Cloudspire) – The Inner Demon appears at the back section of this area just past an alleyway with numerous undead and a couple of cannons. It’s also near an enemy that drops the Darkfrost Flames spell.
• Reward: Shadow Stone Needle – Magic – Slightly increases the Magic control of the weapon you’re wielding.

• Location: Snowfall Palace (Cloudspire) – Trying to find this Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Inner Demon might be a little tricky:
  • From the Snowfall Palace fast travel point, go up the steps and check out the palace interior.
  • The main chamber has a couple of hostiles–an archer and a maid–that are talking. Take them out and check the elevator in the middle.
  • Step on the plate and get off the elevator immediately. This reveals a hidden elevator that takes you to a secret treasure room.
  • The Inner Demon will spawn as you approach the small chest.
  • Note that you can also find the Boreal Abyss one-handed sword and the Giant Panda NPC in this room.
• Reward: Shadow Stone Needle – Feathering – Slightly increases the Feathering control of the weapon you’re wielding.

• Location: Refugee Camp (Mt. Zhenwu) – Make your way to the marshland where you’ll see an Avian enemy in the distance. Go all the way to the clearing at the back to make the Inner Demon appear.
• Bone Needle Reward: Plumed Stone Needle – Temper – Increases the attack power gained from Tempering.

• Location: Avian Marsh (Mt. Zhenwu) – This opponent can be found fairly close to the fast travel point. Keep left as you exit the room and follow the twisting path that leads upward along the tree. You should then see a crumbling branch with a glowing item. Standing on the branch causes you to fall down, taking you to the Inner Demon’s spawn point.
• Bone Needle Reward: Root Stone Needle – Status – Increases status buildup gained from Tempering.
