Most first-party Nintendo Switch 2 accessories have been fairly easy to find in stock at major retailers, but that hasn’t been case for Nintendo’s pair of carrying cases. Despite fairly high prices, the $40 standard carrying case and $85 All-in-One case for the full system have largely been sold out since launch. Restocks for the All-in-One case sell out fast, which has led many Switch 2 users to explore other options like the officially licensed RDS Industries Game Traveler carrying cases.
The RDS version of the All-in-One case has been hard to find, too, but Amazon just restocked this great $40 full system case and a couple of other models that had been sold out.
RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Nintendo Switch 2 Cases
- Mario Kart World Deluxe Travel Case — $25
- Black Deluxe Travel Case — $20
- System Carrying Case — $30
- Complete System Carrying Case (Black) — $40
- Crossbody Vertical Bag (Black) — $30

- Pro Controller Carrying Case (Zelda/Black) — $20
RDS Industries has five different styles of Switch 2 carrying cases and bags. We’ve outlined the features for each one below. Delivery estimates for the restocked cases vary, but the full system case was estimated at 2-4 weeks at the time of writing. If you’re interested, you may want to grab one soon, as it’s likely to sell out again. RDS also recently released a dedicated hardshell case for the original Switch Pro Controller that also works great with the Switch 2 Pro Controller.
RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Switch 2 Full System Case
$40 | Restocked at Amazon
- Designed for: Console, Dock, Pro Controller, 2 Joy-Con slots, 2 mesh accessory bags, 2 Game Card plastic cases (4 games each), 2 microSD Express plastic cases (2 cards each), cleaning cloth.
At less than half the price of Nintendo’s All-in-One case, the Game Traveler Deluxe Full System Case is quite the bargain in comparison. It’s arguably even better than the first-party model because of its form-fitting design and removable components. The All-in-One case has dedicated compartments, but not all of them offer a snug fit for your gear.
The RDS case has slots for the console with Joy-Con 2 Controllers attached, the Switch 2 Dock, two extra Joy-Con, the Switch 2 Pro Controller, and two accessory compartments. The accessory compartments include two removable mesh bags that can hold cables, Joy-Con 2 Straps, the AC adapter, etc. They also can be used to store the included game card plastic cases and cleaning cloth. Each game card case holds four Switch 1/2 cards. The game slots can also be used for microSD Express Cards; it comes with a pair of plastic cases for microSD cards, and each one holds two.
All RDS Industries cases are built with sturdy ballistic nylon and have soft, padded interior designs.
RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Switch 2 System Case
$30 | Restocked at Amazon
- Designed for: Console, Pro Controller, mesh pocket for accessories, 12 Game Cards, 4 microSD Express Cards, cleaning cloth.
The $30 Game Traveler Deluxe System Case falls between the $20 base model and the full system case. It offers all of the features of the standard case, but it’s thicker to provide room for accessories. It has a dedicated slot for the Switch 2 Pro Controller or similarly sized controller. The controller is held in place by an elastic band. A mesh bag holds small accessories like the AC adapter, cables, Joy-Con 2 Straps, etc.
Mario Kart World Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case
$25
- Designed for: Console, 12 Game Cards, 4 microSD Express Cards.
The regular Game Traveler Deluxe hardshell case is designed for the Nintendo Switch 2 console, game cards, and microSD Express Cards. The case has a recessed interior mold to keep the console from rattling around during travel and a handle with a rubberized grip. It has a built-in insert to hold up to 12 game cards. Two plastic cases with slots for two microSD cards each can be stored in the game card pockets, too. You’ll also get a microfiber cleaning cloth.
The Mario Kart World-themed case features the Switch 2 exclusive’s key art on the front and back as well as a red Mario logo zipper.
RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case (Black)
$20
The same Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case is available in black for five bucks less. It has a red Nintendo Switch 2 logo patch on the front and a matching zipper pull. At just $20, this case is half the price of the official Switch 2 carrying case.
RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Vertical Crossbody Bag for Switch 2
$30
RDS also has two different styles of crossbody bags designed for the Nintendo Switch 2. The Vertical Crossbody Bag has padded, zippered pocket for the Switch 2 console with Joy-Cons detached. The front pocket, which is zippered and further protected by a buckled cover, can hold the Joy-Con 2 Controllers, AC adapter, cables, Joy-Con 2 Straps, game card cases, and cleaning cloth. Like other models, it comes with two plastic cases for Switch game cards, two plastic microSD Express cases, and a cleaning cloth.
This officially licensed crossbody bag has a silver Nintendo Switch 2 logo on the front, a carrying handle, and an adjustable shoulder strap.
