Are you thinking about the best benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? These runes can be socketed into your weapons, offering powerful boons that further increase your capabilities in combat. Our guide has several of the most viable ones already listed, so make sure you acquire these as you progress through the campaign.

The best benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Here’s what you need to know about the best benedictions in the game:

  • The Benediction system can be accessed via Shrines.
  • Benediction runes come in many forms, but only three can be socketed into a weapon at any given time. The slots/classifications are known as Oath, Memory, and Wisdom.
  • Some runes are part of sets. If you have all three of these equipped, you’ll be able to activate their bonus effect.
  • Some runes and sets offer general utility, meaning the bonuses should work for all armaments. Others, meanwhile, improve elemental or status effects, and should be used to complement weapons that already have those innate traits.

Note: Some of these benediction runes are sold by a merchant named Wu Gang, but you need to acquire some valuables for him. You can learn more about these in our Wu Gang items guide.

Skyborn Plume set

Skyborn Plume set

Skyborn Plume set bonus: Increases the power of your next attack whenever you gain Skyborn Might.

  • Oath: Bu – Blocking Crash
    • Location: Shu Sanctum/Narrow Stretch – Found inside a house in the bandit-ridden village near Shu Sanctum.
    • Effect: Increases the potency of blocks and crashes.
  • Memory: Sheng – Skyborn Rejuvenation
    • Location: Found in a location which we’re unable to mention at the moment.
    • Effect: Gaining Skyborn Might grants life leech to your attacks for a short duration.
  • Wisdom: Wei – Counter Force
    • Location: Shu Sanctum/Narrow Stretch – Found inside a house in the village near Shu Sanctum.
    • Effect: Improves the potency of counter moves.

The runes from the Skyborn Plume set are some of the best benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. That’s due to their general utility since they (a) empower your blocks/clashes/counters and (b) grant life leech/heal-on-hit. Those who like powering through enemy blows with their weapons would love these items.

Mastery set

Mastery set

Mastery set bonus: Increases the damage dealt if 12 discipline skills are known.

  • Oath: Wei – Tri-Disciplinary Force
    • Location: Sold by Wu Gang once you give him the Golden Bowl item.
    • Effect: Increases the damage dealt if three discipline skills are known.
  • Memory: Wei- Six-Disciplinary Force
    • Location: Sold by Wu Gang once you give him the Black Coral Bracelet item.
    • Effect: Increases the damage if six discipline skills are known.
  • Wisdom: Nine-Disciplinary Force
    • Location: Sold by the Giant Panda NPC for 5x Bamboo Shoots.
    • Effect: Increases the damage if nine discipline skills are known.

These options are certainly among the best benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers because their effects are straightforward and readily activated regardless of the weapon you’re wielding. You can have more than five discipline skills–i.e. weapon skills–unlocked in the early stages of the game. And, as you progress further, you can continue to unlock more abilities. By the time you have the full set, you should easily have the bonus, too.

Momentum set

Momentum set

Momentum set bonus: Killing an enemy increases your damage. The effect is lost when you take damage.

  • Oath: Wei – Vitality Ferocity
    • Location: Dropped by Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang in Shu Sanctum.
    • Effect: Increases the damage dealt (and taken) while at full health.
  • Memory: Shi – Vitality Ward
    • Location: Found on a wooden platform near the Bandit Cave Shrine.
    • Effect: Reduces damage taken while at full health.
  • Wisdom: Wei – Skyborn Force
    • Location: Sold by Wu Gang once you give him the Black Coral Bracelet item.
    • Effect: Increases your damage during Skyborn Might.

These options are great if you want to turn your character into an unstoppable killing machine. Due to all the enemies you face, and slay as you go along, you should have pretty decent uptime on the buff. That said, you also need to be mindful when avoiding attacks. Note that, if you don’t want the set bonus, you can replace the Memory slot with Sheng – Lethal Might. It temporarily increases your damage and grants Skyborn Might whenever you defeat any foe.

Fire-based benedictions

Fire-based benedictions

  • Oath: Sheng – Burning Might
    • Location: Found near the Shrine at Snowfall Palace. Just before the Shrine, make a left and drop down the cliffside ledges to open the chest below the scaffolding.
    • Effect: If a nearby enemy suffers Burn, gain increased damage for a time and Skyborn Might.
  • Memory: Ta – Combustion
    • Location: Sold by Wu Gang once you give him the Tome of Silver-Seeking item.
    • Effect: Increases your weapon’s Fire buildup.
  • Wisdom: Ta – Blazing Burn
    • Location: Found in an area which we’re unable to mention at the moment.
    • Effect: Inflicting Burn increases its potency.

These runes are not part of any set, but they’re still some of the most viable benedictions in the game, especially if you like wielding weapons with Fire-based abilities like the Flamebringer and Scorn Greataxe. The reason for this is because Burn buildup can happen rapidly, allowing you to deplete the health of your targets.

Note that you can switch to Fa – Burning Ignition for the Memory slot, as it increases a weapon’s Fire attack power when a hostile suffers from the Burn effect. If you still need to improve Burn buildup, you can use a Temperance Bone Needle instead.

Poise Break and fast attack benedictions

Poise Break and fast attack benedictions

  • Oath: Wei – Poise Force
    • Location: The chest is at the right-hand side of the central area with the elevator shaft.
    • Effect: If a nearby enemy suffers Poise Break, deal increased damage for a time.
  • Memory: Ta – Swift Poise Break
    • Location: Found inside the cave between Zhenwu Altar and Ferry Overlook/Bai Mansion.
    • Effect: Increases Poise Break buildup.
  • Wisdom: Wei – Combo Force
    • Location: Obtained after defeating Commander – Honglan in Tang Palace.
    • Effect: Consecutive attacks increase your damage.

These items aren’t part of a set either, though they’re quite viable if you like using weapons with fast attack speeds, such as dual blades. For best results, you could try the Bitter Severance weapon, as it has perks related to the Poise Break status.
