The player ratings in Madden 26 haven’t stopped, and now EA Sports has given us the official ratings for every defensive position on the field. The defensive side of the ball only features one member of the 99 Club, but there are still some absolute powerhouses at each position. We also see some highly-touted defensive rookies start to make their mark in Madden 26, but none of them are worthy of being on the top 10 list for their position, yet.

We’ll begin with the edge rushers in Madden 26, as it’s the only defensive position to feature a member of the 99 Club. Myles Garrett once again joins the exclusive club after last being included in Madden 23. The rest of the top 10 list contains many familiar faces, but there is a slight shake-up at the bottom of the list.

Next up, we have the linebackers in Madden 26, a position that sees a slew of new players enter the top 10. The position also doesn’t have an abundance of 90+ rated players, with six players in the top 10 being given a rating below 90. Still, there are some talented linebackers, several of whom are making their debut on the top 10 list.

Defensive line can arguably be seen as the most talented position on defense in Madden 26. There are several players rated in the high 90s, and only one player with a rating below 90 in the top 10. We largely see returning players in the top 10, but there are a couple of players making their debut on the list.

Cornerback is another uber-talented defensive position in Madden 26. There’s a slight shake-up at the first few spots on the top 10 list, but reigning Defensive Player of the Year winner Patrick Surtain II keeps his title of the best CB in Madden for another year. There’s only one sub-90-rated player in the top 10, but some fans vehemently don’t agree with that player’s rating.
