There are a plethora of reasons why you might want to play as a particular team in College Football 26. Maybe you’re a fan of the team in real life, want to take over your alma mater, or perhaps you’re playing the Dynasty game mode and you want a team to (re)build into a juggernaut. Regardless of the reason behind selecting a team, most players can agree that a team’s uniforms play a huge role in who they control, too.

Whether a team’s uniforms are rich with history, have a unique color scheme, or simply feature a top-notch logo, there are certainly plenty of great uniforms in College Football 26. However, if you want to rock the best of the best on the field this year, you’ll have to take a look below to see our picks for the top overall uniforms. These uniforms aren’t in any order and were mainly selected based on design, colors, logo, and history. We’ll also be limiting every team to just one uniform, so no team will be on the list twice with two different uniforms.

In the NFL, the Los Angeles Chargers are continually revered for their powder blue uniforms, which always steal the show in any game they’re used. College Football 26 doesn’t offer a ton of powder blue options, but the best one by far is Kent State’s Current Alternate.

Kent State is a fairly unknown school in the MAC, but they have a surprising number of strong uniform combinations as well as helmet options. Easily the best of the bunch, though, is the Current Alternate. It features a special white and powder blue helmet with the “K” logo, a powder blue and yellow jersey, and white pants with a yellow stripe. A subtle touch with the uniform is the two yellow “flash” logos on the shoulders of the jersey, which look fantastic.

The Oregon Ducks have perhaps the most storied history with unique jersey and uniform designs, and the selections available for the team in College Football 26 certainly back that up. Oregon’s iconic green, yellow, white, and black color scheme has made for some fantastic uniforms in the past. In CFB 26, the Ducks have a slew of choices, including throwbacks to 2023, the Heroes Alternates from 2024, and the classic Mighty Oregon home and away options.

However, our pick is the Home Fly Era uniform, which debuted in 2024 in the regular season matchup against Ohio State. This uniform features an all back “funeral” look, complete with a black helmet and chrome wings, green lettering and number outlines, and chrome accents on the jersey and pants. It’s a truly intimidating look that strikes fear into the heart of opponents.

Boise State is most well-known for the blue turf of their home stadium in Idaho, but the team also has a rich history of some flashy uniforms. The black, orange, black, and white color scheme works well on just about any uniform available for them in CFB 26, and there are a number of helmet options to go along with the jerseys.

Our favorite from Boise State’s lineup, though, is the Current Away Option 2. This uniform features the large bronco helmet with a black and chrome finish, their classic white jersey, and black pants. The combination of the black helmet with the white uniform looks great on any field, but it looks even better on Boise State’s blue turf.

Arizona State has one of the best overall color schemes in college sports, with the reddish-brown, bright orange, and stark black colors all mixing perfectly. There aren’t too many uniform options for the Sun Devils in CFB 26, but the one that stands out the most is the Current Alternate Option.

This uniform features an all-back, minimalistic look, with the exception of the helmet. The helmet is chrome and can look red or orange depending on how the sun hits it. The logo on the helmet is a black sun devil pitchfork on both sides, which looks great with the chrome. There’s not a lot to say about the jersey, as it just has orange letters and white accents. The same goes for the pants, but they especially stand out thanks to the large yellow pitchfork logo on the right side.

Memphis is another school that tends to fly under the radar when it comes to uniform options, but they have over a dozen choices to pick from in CFB 26. Most of them revolve around the blue and white color scheme the school is known for, but there are some alternate options that really pop on the field. This includes the Current Alternate, which is an all-gray uniform.

You don’t see a lot of gray uniforms in football, but Memphis certainly makes the color work. The uniform has a gray and blue helmet with chrome tiger stripes going across both sides. There are also tiger stripes on the shoulders to give the uniform a continuity element.

It’s not too often that you see a team’s default home jersey beat out all of its alternate options, but this is the case with San Jose State. The school features some of the cleanest-looking uniforms in the country, sporting a vibrant deep blue and bright yellow color scheme. The numbers on the San Jose State uniforms are quite unique, but, just like the Current Home uniform itself, they pop on the field.

The Current Home uniform offers a blue chrome helmet, a blue jersey with yellow numbers and accents, and full yellow pants. The shiny helmet and the lively colors make this one of the most distracting uniforms in CFB 26, in a good way.

Clemson isn’t a team with a ton of uniform options, as the school only offers a total of six in College Football 26. While the default home and away options have certainly gotten tired over the years as Clemson has dominated the sport, the Current Alternate is a refreshing change of pace that looks fantastic.

Featuring the classic orange Clemson helmet, the Current Alternate goes away from the orange and white jersey design. Instead, it has a full purple look with white and orange numbers and a white and orange stripe going down the pants. You could also go with the Current Alternate Option uniform, which swaps out the purple pants for orange pants and makes the uniform look a little more classic.

The East Carolina Pirates are known for a couple of things when it comes to their football uniforms: an all-chrome, purple helmet and a pretty sweet pirate logo. The all-chrome helmet is somewhat polarizing, though, so instead, we’ve chosen their Current Home Option 2 as our pick for their best uniform.

Current Home Option 2 features the throwback script logo helmet with a black finish and a chrome purple facemask. The jersey is their default home option, which is purple with yellow accents and features the primary pirate logo on both shoulders. Finally, the pants are all black, but the pirate logo shows up once again on the upper-right side. It’s a blend of East Carolina’s past and present and looks incredible on the field in CFB 26.

The Tulane Green Wave feature one of the most unique color schemes in the country. Dark green and light powder blue are at the forefront of nearly every available uniform option for the Green Wave in College Football 26.

However, our pick for the best Tulane jersey goes to the Current Alternate 2, which sports a mostly all-black uniform with the exception of the helmet. The helmet is the muted chrome Green Wave helmet that perfectly matches the green, blue, and white stripes found on the shoulders of the jersey and up the sides of both pant legs. The jersey further complements the helmet by using green lettering and blue accents. If you’re a bigger fan of Tulane’s powder blue, though, you can use the Current Alternate Option uniform, which features an all-blue uniform and helmet.

A truly underrated and fairly unknown uniform in College Football 26 is UCF’s Space U, which debuted in 2024. This uniform is a nod to Florida’s history with space travel, and it has some stellar references to that history.

For starters, the uniform features a jersey that’s mostly black, but fades to some black dots with an off-white background at the bottom of it. This matches the off-white pants, which have different Orion constellation formations going up each side. The pants also have a unique space-themed logo on the upper-right side. Finally, the Space U helmets are UCF’s normal helmets, but they have blue NASA mission badges going up the back. Overall, the uniform is unlike anything else you’ll see in College Football 26.
