Call of Duty Season 5 added new weapons in Black Ops 6, as well as including some attachment changes and weapon balancing for multiplayer. You’ll likely want to change your loadouts for this new season, and our guide recommends some of the best weapon builds for multiplayer in Season 5.

Additionally, Season 5 launched with a brand-new battle pass, which added plenty of cosmetics and two new weapons to unlock. Black Ops 6 multiplayer has new maps and modes, and the update added Reckoning as the final Zombies map.

Make sure to check out the full highlights for Call of Duty Season 5, and we also break down the major changes from the Season 5 patch notes for both multiplayer and Warzone.

All our recommended multiplayer loadouts can be viewed below, and our suggested Warzone Season 5 loadouts detail what you should use in the battle royale spin-off.

FFAR1

FFAR1

The FFAR1 is a powerful choice for assault rifles in Season 5. This assault rifle has a fast fire rate, but you’ll want the recommended attachments to cut back on the gun’s recoil. The ironsights aren’t great on this gun, but if it doesn’t bother you much, you can swap the recommended optic with the Ergonomic rear grip for faster ADS speed.

Recommended FFAR1 attachments:

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II

Kilo 141

Kilo 141

The Kilo 141 is one of the easiest assault rifles to use in the game. The recommended attachments will help manage the recoil and improve the gun’s mobility. If you didn’t unlock the G-Grip attachment in last season’s battle pass, you’ll want to head to the Armory and select it as your current Armory challenge. This is usually just an XP-based challenge to complete.

The G-Grip will provide a better boost to the gun’s horizontal recoil and provide better stabilization when firing.

Recommended Kilo 141 attachments:

  • Barrel: Short Barrel
  • Underbarrel: G-Grip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Stock: Infiltrator Stock

ABR A1

ABR A1

Season 5 brings back Call of Duty’s classic AUG rifle, which is renamed as the ABR A1 assault rifle in Black Ops 6. This is a three-round burst rifle, and it can be a solid choice for multiplayer. It does have a built-in scope, but it’s better suited for long-range fights on Warzone. For multiplayer, the Kepler Microflex is a better option. The additional attachments will also help reduce the recoil, as well as boost the damage range and bullet velocity.

Recommended ABR A1 attachments:

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: G-Grip or Vertical Foregrip
  • Comb: Commando Riser

PML 5.56

PML 5.56

Season 5’s new PML 5.56 light machine gun can be powerful, but it has horrendous recoil. It’s not a great pick for Warzone, but you can make a decent build for it in multiplayer. The recommended attachments will help cut back some of the recoil and make this gun much more manageable to use.

Recommended PML 5.56 attachments:

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Fire Mod: Recoil Springs

Ladra

Ladra

One of the best choices for close-range fights in Season 5 is the Ladra submachine gun. The recommended attachments will enhance the Ladra’s damage range and help mitigate some of the weapon’s recoil.

Recommended Ladra attachments:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: G-Grip or Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

KSV

KSV

Another solid pick for close-range combat is the KSV submachine gun. The recommended attachments will help boost the ammo count, improve the damage range, and reduce the recoil for the KSV.

Recommended KSV attachments:

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

9MM PM

9MM PM

If you don’t want to run the Overkill wildcard for two primary weapons, and you want a powerful secondary gun, the 9MM PM pistol is a solid pick for this season. Season 5 adds the new 9MM PM Skull Splitter Barrel attachment, and this greatly increases the gun’s damage.

This new attachment is unlocked on page 7 in the free tiers of the Season 5 battle pass.

Recommended 9MM PM attachments:

  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: 9MM PM Skull Splitter Barrel
  • Magazine: Skull Splitter Extended Mag
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
