Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been fairly well-received since its debut last month, but Level-5 still has a few surprises in store for players. The publisher has teased a free DLC for Fantasy Life i that will introduce a new roguelike open world for the game. And that’s not the only change on the way.

On Fantasy Life i’s official social media channels, Level-5 said that the new roguelike open world will be built for “newcomers and veterans alike.” It also featured an image of a new character that will be introduced in the game. Few details were revealed about him, but he is described as someone “who will play a vital role in the story.”

Gematsu shared additional details about what players can expect from the DLC. Fresh equipment, mounts, hairstyles, emotes, “and a variety of unusual items” are on the way. And to celebrate the game passing 1 million copies sold, Level-5 has released more Fantasy Life i codes. Players can enter them in the game and receive free items and equipment.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It’s also one of the Switch 2 launch titles, with one of the most-inexpensive upgrades we’ve seen for the system so far. Level-5 CEO Akihirio Hiro has previously revealed that Fantasy Life i underwent extensive changes after poor internal testing, and those modifications seem to have paid off.
