After EA and FIFA broke up, the soccer organization vowed to keep making games without the gaming publisher, and now the first post-EA FIFA game has arrived.

The arcade-style mobile game FIFA Rivals from Mythical Games is available now on the App Store and Google Play for mobile devices. The game was previously available in a soft launch.

FIFA Rivals combines “high-energy arcade gameplay” with team-building strategy elements, as players can take part in PvP matches and become a manager of sorts and build out their squad. The game also sports a “Super Mode” that adds “boosts and abilities” to help get an edge on the pitch.

FIFA Rivals also incorporates the Mythical Marketplace, which is a blockchain-based marketplace that allows players to trade, buy, and sell their items.

Mythical Games previously released NFL Rivals in 2024.

As for EA’s soccer series, the publisher has rebranded the franchise as EA Sports FC. The newest entry, EA Sports FC 26, is coming up later this year, following the less-than-excellent financial performance of EA Sports FC 25.
