Epic Games and Netflix have teamed up for the Fortnite x Squid Game Reload crossover, which brings all-new places of interest (POIs) themed around the popular show. This new Reload island map is called Squid Grounds, and in this guide, we’ll reveal all the map locations and other secrets you can explore.
Squid Grounds is currently the sole map for Reload and will replace Oasis when the map rotation resumes on June 30. This means the map will be used for standard Reload matches, Ranked, and the new Squid Grounds Console Cash Cups. The Oasis map will return to the map pool at a later date.
The full Reload Squid Grounds map and some highlights of the POIs can be viewed below.
Fortnite Reload Squid Grounds map
The Squid Grounds map features 10 new POIs:
- Manager’s Meals
- Phoney Crossroads
- Hectic Hedges
- Red Greens
- Designer Docks
- Square Meals
- Player’s Power
- Costly Condos
- Affluent Arrivals
- The Labyrinth
The Labyrinth
The Labyrinth serves as the center hub of the map, and Squid Game fans will easily recognize the ominous staircase labyrinth from the show. Fortnite does a great job of capturing the bright colors and geometric chaos of the stairways, and this will likely be a chaotic place to land for loot.
Red Greens
At first glance, Red Green looks like a cozy farm location similar to iconic places like Anarchy Acres or Frenzy Farm, but this new point-of-interest recreates Squid Game’s deadly Red Light, Green Light setting.
Square Meals
This is a cluster of buildings decorated in the same bright colors as the Labyrinth. Each one features the symbols from Squid Game’s Dalgona game.
Phoney Crossroads
Phoney Crossroads is a Squid Game-themed makeover for Fortnite’s classic Coney Crossroads. This is even complete with a SoFDeeZ ice cream shop.
Player’s Power
Not every place on the Squid Grounds map looks colorful. Player’s Power is a power plant-type area that feels reminiscent of Fortnite’s Steamy Stacks but with gloomier colors and personality.
Designer Docks
While it’s not the exact same layout, Designer Docks gives off the vibes of Fortnite’s Dirty Docks with a Squid Game-themed makeover.
Manager’s Meals
This is a small location with a fancy kitchen and dining hall, presumably for the Squid Game managers.
Hectic Hedges
This small POI is very reminiscent of Fortnite’s hedge maze from Chapter 1’s map.
Costly Condos
Costly Condos is a POI with condos and a pool. While the game’s contestants are stuck in those bunk beds, Squid Game management and guests get the luxury treatment.
Affluent Arrivals
Affluent Arrivals is a small point of interest. The buildings here look like an office and surveillance space used by Squid Game management.
Squid Game bundles
It wouldn’t be a Fortnite crossover event without new skins. In addition to the map’s arrival, there are also plenty of Squid Game skins and bundles in the Fortnite shop. This includes several variants in the contestant tracksuits as well as skins for Squid Game’s Guard and Manager characters.
