Good Old Games has added a new feature to its storefront and launcher, making it extremely easy to install some very popular mods to a few of its classic games. The “One-click Mods” feature includes well-known community-built add-ons for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, Doom 3, and Fallout 4, and will soon include the hotly anticipated Skyblivion mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

GOG announced the new feature at the PC Gaming Show and gave a few details about how it works and what mods are supported. One-click Mods doesn’t include everything made for a particular game–this isn’t GOG’s answer to Nexus Mods, for example–but instead provides a curated list of popular mods for particular games. In practice, One-click Mods is basically the same as buying and downloading old games, with GOG making the installation of these mods easy and automatic through its online store and GOG Galaxy launcher.

As of right now, the list of One-click Mods is pretty short, but it seems that GOG is looking to include big, notable mods that are popular among their communities. Skyblivion is already a huge one; it’s a full, fan-made recreation of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim. The list also includes the Phobos mod for Doom 3, which adds a whole prequel campaign to id Software’s title; Fallout: London, a standalone story addition to Fallout 4 set in the United Kingdom; Horn of the Abyss, a huge expansion for Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete that includes new factions, campaigns, creatures, and a lot more; and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Unofficial Patch, a series of fan-made improvements that fixes bugs and reintroduces a lot of cut content.

There’s also Enderal: Forgotten Stories, a total conversion mod for Skyrim, and Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos, a total conversion mod for Gothic II: Gold Edition.

Notably, all the mods included in GOG’s One-click Mod service are free. You’ll need to own their respective base games, but just as if you were downloading the mods from other websites, adding them through GOG’s service doesn’t add anything to the price.

Apart from Skyblivion, all the mods GOG announced as part of the One-click Mod feature are available on GOG.com and in GOG Galaxy right now. The company says Skyblivion will join the list sometime in 2025.
