As the app is available through multiple channels on PC and mobile devices, there’s the potential to find unofficial and potentially dangerous versions of it elsewhere. As such, you may wish to know how to download and update Roblox via the official channels.

How to download Roblox on PC

To download Roblox via the official website, log in with your username and password and attempt to open any game. You’ll automatically download the official app onto your PC. Once finished, open the install file and follow the steps as shown on screen. After this is complete, open the app and enter your login details. You should then be able to play any game from either the website or via the official app.

If you wish to download Roblox via the Microsoft Store app, all you need to do is search for “Roblox” in the storefront. Click the “Get” button to download the Roblox app. From this point, the steps for logging in are the same as the app via the official website. Follow the instructions above to complete the process and start a game of your choice.

How to download Roblox on mobile phones and tablets

Roblox is far easier to get on mobile devices via official sources. To do so, open the Apple App Store if you’re using an iPhone or iPad device, or the Google Play Store if your phone or tablet is either a Samsung, Google Pixel, Motorola, Honor, or other Android OS compatible device. From there, search “Roblox” and look for the app that has “Roblox Corporation” as the developer. Tap to download the app, and it’ll automatically install it on your device. Once done, log in using your details, and you can begin playing games. You can also install it by visiting either website linked here on your PC and clicking the Install button to load it onto your mobile device.

Only download Roblox from either the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Downloading Roblox from any other source will, at the very best, not work, and at the very worst, subject you to potential scams and even the theft of your Roblox account. How to update Roblox

Depending on your installation type, here are the steps to updating the Roblox app:

• On PC, if you installed the app directly from the Roblox website, starting any game or opening the app will trigger the update process. You don’t need to do anything else.
• If you installed Roblox via the Microsoft Store, open the Microsoft Store app and search “Roblox”. Click the “Update” button if it’s available. Otherwise, tap “Play” to start the app.
• If you’re on a mobile device, Roblox should automatically update if your phone or tablet is set to download and install updates. Check the Roblox app settings in the App section of your mobile device’s Settings to see if they’re enabled. You may also get redirected to your relevant App Store upon opening the app if a mandatory update needs to be done first. If you’re unsure if this is legitimate, open the App Store or Google Play Store (depending on your device) and type in Roblox in the search bar. If it says “Update”, you can download and install it with confidence.
