Battlefield 6 doesn’t release until October 10, but you can unlock several rewards to use at launch by playing Battlefield 2042. As a surprise update for Battlefield 2042, the developer added new content inspired by different eras of the Battlefield franchise. This includes a reimagining of the fan-favorite Iwo Jima map and a free battle pass of rewards, several of which can be used in Battlefield 6. Here we’ll highlight all the Battlefield 6 items you can earn and how to unlock them.

All of the items can be earned and unlocked by playing Battlefield 2042 between now and October 7. There are over 60 rewards to earn in total, with many being exclusive to Battlefield 2042 and two dozen are specific to Battlefield 6.

There is a “Free Pass” tab added to Battlefield 2042’s menu. This reveals a lengthy battle pass of items you can unlock.

The publisher says you unlock these tiers by gaining XP and completing weekly missions to earn the points required to progress through each tier of the pass. Every week, a limited-time bonus mission is also available to unlock, and completion of this mission will provide additional points.

Only the first week’s missions are available to view in-game. These are fairly straightforward and include the following:

• Achieve one multikill
• Play one round
• Earn three Wingman ribbons
• Get 10 revives in smoke
• Get 10 kills with the M1911
• Get three kills in one life
• Capture or neutralize objectives in a round 10x
• Deal a total of 1,000 damage with incendiary grenades
• Earn 60 kills and assists or 60 objectives defended. (This can be earned by completing either or both)

Weekly bonus mission: Complete 20 revives (Teammate or squad revives)

More missions will unlock each week across the seven weeks of the event, so there should be plenty of opportunity to level up the pass and earn these rewards.

The free pass doesn’t detail all the Battlefield 6 exclusive items you can earn, but there are six different cosmetic packs for the game, and they’re unlocked as follows:

• Tier 8: A four-item cosmetic pack that features the Western Front weapon skin
• Tier 19: A four-item cosmetic pack that features the Muller weapon skin
• Tier 30: A four-item cosmetic pack that features the Aurora vehicle skin
• Tier 40: A four-item cosmetic pack that features the Blackburn vehicle skin
• Tier 49: A five-item cosmetic pack that features the Commander operator skin
• Tier 60: A seven-item cosmetic pack that features the Sovereign operator skin

Again, this is a free battle pass, so it could be a good time to jump into Battlefield 2042 and earn some loot. While you can unlock these rewards by playing Battlefield 2042 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, it’s worth noting that Battlefield 6 is only available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
