Nintendo’s August 2025 Indie World presentation included tons of games including some that are out right now, but as usual, the company released different presentations across various regions. While many of the games showcased were the same, there were some noticeable differences in the Japanese version of the Indie World showcase. Games were shown in different order, and sometimes, entirely different games were shown in the Japanese presentation.
Some games, like Go-Go Town, were given longer screentime during the Japanese presentation, and rather than a montage like the US version, the Japanese presentation ended on Glaciered. It’s worth noting that since the presentation was so different, some of these games may not be available or announced for the US version of the Nintendo eShop. So consider the below a little reference of different games shown that may or may not be coming to the US.
Wobbly Life
The Japanese Indie World presentation started with a look at Wobbly Life, a game that has been in Early Access on Steam since 2020. The open world sandbox has you play alone or with friends to test out the physics systems and generally flop around the environments.
Moji Yuugi
Mogi Yuugi, a retro-styled game where Japanese lettering makes up the sprite-like world, received a lengthy showcase in the Indie World for Japan. No release information has been given for the US eShop.
The Exit 8
A psychological thriller game, The Exit 8: Switch Edition was shown as well. You’re trapped in an underground corridor that defies logic and must carefully observe your surroundings and solve the mystery to find your way out.
Demonschool
The anticipated tactical RPG Demonschool was shown during the Japanese Indie World presentation, including a release date of September 3. It’s also coming to PC, PS4, and PS5.
