Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s next expansion, Legacy of the Forge, now has a release date–and it’s soon. The second story DLC for the popular RPG will launch on September 9.
This was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany alongside a trailer showing it off. “Put your blacksmithing skills to the test as you rebuild a burnt-down forge in the heart of Kuttenberg. Design and customise the workshop, its surroundings, and your private quarters–with upgrades that do more than just look good,” reads a line from the expansion’s description. Here’s the trailer:
Kingdom Come 2 launched in early 2025 and got free updates that added things like horse racing and a hardcore mode. The first paid expansion, Brushes with Death, launched in May. After Legacy of the Forge will come Mysteria Ecclesia later in 2025. People can buy the expansion’s individually or in a $30 bundle.
The game sold 2 million copies in its first two weeks and went on to climb to 3 million in the first three months. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 also earned rave reviews, including a 9/10 here at GameSpot.
Developer Warhorse has also supported the game with official mod support that has allowed players to add all manner of wacky and weird things to the game.
