Madden NFL 26 is on sale for a new all-time low price at Amazon and Best Buy. Both retailers are offering $30 discounts on the PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X editions of the latest iteration of EA’s annual football sim. You can also grab EA Sports College Football 26 for $38 on PS5 at Walmart and get a free steelbook case. Best Buy has College Football 26 for $40 for PlayStation and Xbox, while Amazon has the deal for Xbox and is sold out on PlayStation.

Sports sim fans can also save big on multiple other annual games. Most notably, NBA 2K26 is discounted to a new low price at Amazon and Walmart. Big discounts are available on all four consoles–PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and Switch–but the prices are different on each platform; the PS5 and Switch editions are the cheapest at $40, while the Switch 2 version is the most expensive at $47.27 (was $70). Baseball season just ended, which means there are steep discounts on MLB The Show 25, too. Walmart has deals for all three console platforms: $29.83 for PS5, $24 for Xbox, and $40 for Switch.

Madden NFL 26 | PS5, Switch 2, Xbox

Madden NFL 26 earned an 8/10 in GameSpot’s review thanks to welcome updates to Franchise mode, improved presentation, more realistic player movements, and a variety of other tweaks and additions.

Madden 26 is the first entry in the series for a Nintendo console since Madden 13 back in 2012. The Switch 2 port doesn’t look as nice or run as well as the PS5 and Xbox versions, but it’s easily the best Madden for a portable game system.

It’s worth emphasizing that Madden 26, like most third-party Switch 2 games, is a Game-Key Card physical edition. You will need to download roughly 65GB of data from the eShop. Madden takes up more than 20% of the Switch 2’s internal storage; if you need more storage space, Amazon has the officially licensed Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card in stock for $59. For a higher-capacity option, check out the new Samsung 512GB P9 microSD Express Card for $95.

NBA 2K26 | PS5, Switch 1/2, Xbox

$40 (was $70)

Just like the two football games, NBA 2K26 earned in 8/10 in GameSpot’s review. That score is based on the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of the basketball sim. The Switch 2 version has the same gameplay modes but runs at 30fps in lower resolutions. NBA 2K26 for Switch 2, just like Madden 26, is probably the best basketball sim on a portable console. The original Switch version is missing a bunch of features and online modes and looks pretty rough. It’s still playable on Switch, but the Switch 2 version is much, much better.

NBA 2K26 is a Game-Key Card on Switch 2 and requires a roughly 70GB download from the eShop.
