Developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide Studios didn’t have a large slot at the first game presentation of Summer Game Fest 2025, but it did reveal that a veteran video game actor is lending his voice to the main character of Mouse: P.I. For Hire. As seen and heard in the trailer below, Troy Baker is voicing Jack Pepper in the game.

This game’s visual style was inspired by the Disney cartoons that were released nearly a century ago. But this is a very un-Disney world, and this mouse needs some guns and weapons if he wants to make it out alive. The game is also influenced by the Fleisher Studios cartoons from the ’30s.

Jack Pepper lives in Mouseburg, and this city is as corrupt as they come. Think of it as Sin City in animation. But Jack’s still got to make a living, so he’s taken a case from the latest damsel in distress to enter his life. The deeper Jack goes into the mystery, the more he discovers new enemies, murder, and an unlikely foe.

Fortunately for Jack, he can start cleaning up Mouseburg with some heavy ordinance, including shotguns, Tommy guns, and bazookas. These characters may look cartoonish, but they can die in some pretty gruesome ways.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire will hit PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch later this year. It’s also available to wishlist on Steam.
