With San Diego Comic-Con kicking off this week, the season of toys has begun. This is the time of the year when companies unveil new products, and GameSpot can exclusively reveal several of the new collectibles on the way from Hasbro.
The company regularly reveals new toys from several popular film and TV IP, and if you’re wanting a sinister take on a Transformer icon, a throwback to the classic GI Joe movie, or unlimited power, then there’s a lot to look forward to. In a GameSpot exclusive, we’re taking a closer look at the new Nemesis Prime, Pythona, and several Star Wars collectibles coming soon to a convention near you and the Hasbro Pulse store.

One of the sought-after action figures for Transformers fans will be a new Nemesis Prime, straight from the Transformers Armada series. This $75 Voyager-class figure comes packaged with his Mini-Con partners: Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar.
Similarly to his previous incarnations, Nemesis Prime resembles Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Hellbent on destroying all Transformers, he appeared in several episodes of the Armada series and had the ability to regenerate from even lethal amounts of damage. This new action figure of Nemesis Prime can convert between robot and truck mode in around 21 steps, and his Mini-Cons can transform into an airline, jet airliner, and space shuttle modes. When combined, the Mini-Cons can also transform into a powerful saber weapon.
For accessories, Nemesis Prime comes equipped with two blasters and a cannon that can also be combined into a powerful weapon, and he has a Matrix of Leadership accessory that can fit inside of his chest compartment.

GI Joe fans can also look forward to a new figure, as Pythona is joining the toyline. The Cobra-La emissary has an impressive range of articulation so that she can strike menacing poses, and she’s equipped with an arsenal of accessories. These include a gem, an alternate head with a ponytail, chakrams, fists, hands with poison and smoke effects, and five bio-mechanical creature accessories. This figure will retail for $40 and it’ll be available through the Hasbro booth at select conventions. There’ll also be a limited number of these figures available for purchase through the Hasbro Pulse store.

This year marks the 20th-anniversary of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and you can celebrate by recreating the climatic duel between Jedi grandmaster Mace Windu and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine AKA Darth Sidious with this two-pack. These are six-inch action figures, and each one comes with a poseable head, arms, and legs. Mace Windu is equipped with his signature purple lightsaber and an alternate head is included, while Palpatine comes with his own lightsaber weapon, an alternate scarred portrait head, and lightning effects.

Finally, the vintage side of Star Wars rounds out the new reveals with some friendly spirits. Based on their appearance from Return of the Jedi, this three-pack includes the Force Spirits of Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi as 3.75-inch action figures inspired by the original line of vintage toys. Each figure is dressed in soft robes, and as a tribute to both actors who played Anakin, there are two headsculpts. You can choose between Hayden Christensen or Sebastian Shaw.
