The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is almost here, and to celebrate, Lego has just unveiled new BrickHeadz collectibles of the show’s main cast. The collection launches October 1 and will include four buildable figures of characters Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Will Byers. Preorders are available now for $40 at Lego’s online store. We expect these will be a popular collector’s item, so grab them while you can.
Lego Stranger Things BrickHeadz (542 pieces)
$40 | Releases October 1
Like other BrickHeadz collectibles, the Lego Stranger Things BrickHeadz set is designed to adapt the look–and ’80s fashion–of the characters they’re based on in an adorable blocky form. Each figure stands securely on a display base, and there are a few accessories like a walkie-talkie for Mike, a headset for Dustin, and a slingshot and binoculars for Lucas. Preorders are available exclusively at Lego, and it’s rare for Brickheadz sets to appear at other retailers.
This is only the second Stranger Things set released by Lego so far. There was also The Upside Down Lego playset, but it’s unfortunately been sold out for a while–so if you’re looking to add some Stranger Things to your Lego collection, grab these Brickheadz while you can.
Stranger Things: The Complete Scripts Volumes 1-4 Preorders
Stranger Things fans will also want to check out the upcoming Stranger Things: The Complete Scripts book series that collects the Duffer Brothers’ screenplays for each of the show’s first four seasons into individual volumes. The first two volumes in the four-book series launch September 2, while Volumes 3 and 4 will arrive on December 9. Preorders for all four paperback editions are available for $30 each at Amazon.
More New Lego Set Preorders
This new Stranger Thing set is one of several new releases Lego is revealing ahead of San Diego Comic-Con this week. Another notable new kit is the Nintendo Game Boy replica, which reimagines the classic gaming handheld as a 421-piece display model. Not only does it capture the look of the original device, but it also features interactive A/B buttons, D-pad, and Start/Select buttons, and interchangeable game cartridge pieces based on the classic Game Boy games Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. The Lego Nintendo Game Boy launches October 1, and preorders are available for $60.
Over in Gotham City, Lego Batman is also making a grand return. Fans of the Caped Crusader can look forward to a massive 2,953-piece of Arkham Asylum, the psychiatric hospital that contains many of Batman’s greatest enemies when they’re not breaking free to cause chaos. This set features 16 minifigures and it has a modular design that makes it fun to build over several days–kind of like an advent calendar, but with a Batman twist. This is a premium set priced at $300, and it’ll launch first for Lego Insiders members on September 9, and its global rollout will kick off on September 12.
There are also seven new Lego sets based on Wicked: For Good launching on September 1, including big new display sets like the Emerald City Wall Art set, as well as playsets like Glinda’s Wedding, Munchkinland, and more. Check them all out below, or in our Lego Wicked Lego set roundup for more information on all the new sets available to preorder.
Lastly, while they’re not part of the new Comic Con announcements, there are also several new Star Wars sets launching on August 1 and available to preorder now.
