Sony announced a whole lot of new games coming to PlayStation during its June 2025 State of Play event, but you won’t want to sleep on the old games the company is also making available. The company has several excellent titles coming to its PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue later this summer, which is available with a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription–which, it should be noted, is the most expensive version.
Check out the full list of new games and the dates they’ll hit the catalog below.
Deus Ex – June 17, 2025
Every time Deus Ex is mentioned, the joke goes, someone reinstalls it. That’s because this immersive sim is still an incredible game and has had an outsized influence on the video gaming landscape, with an expansive sci-fi story and deep, interweaving mechanics. Joining the catalog is the PlayStation 2 version from 2000.
Twisted Metal 3 – July 15, 2025
Leap back to 1998 with the original PlayStation’s Twisted Metal 3, which continued the car combat franchise by adding even more characters to the roster of contestants in Calypso’s Twisted Metal tournament to fight to the death.
Twisted Metal 4 – July 15, 2025
Once you’ve conquered the tournament in Twisted Metal 3, you can defend your title and blow up even more vehicles in Twisted Metal 4. It also released on the original PlayStation, back in 1999.
Resident Evil 2 – Summer 2025
The original Resident Evil kicked off Capcom’s beloved zombie-shooting survival-horror franchise, but it was arguably 1998’s Resident Evil 2 that elevated its iconic status on the gaming landscape. It still holds up as a frightening and intense experience. It’s coming to the Classics Catalog “later this summer,” according to Sony.
Resident Evil 3 – Summer 2025
Though it didn’t have the feel of a full, complete sequel, dropping on PlayStation only a year after Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 still had a big impact on the franchise and the survival-horror genre. That’s because of the giant, near-unstoppable, rocket launcher-wielding villain, the Nemesis. Like RE2, Sony didn’t define exactly when RE3 will hit the Classics catalog, but it’s coming this summer.
Myst – June 2025
Myst had a massive impact on the gaming landscape when it released in 1993, and its influence on first-person puzzlers and overall game design are still being felt today. Sony says it’ll hit the Classics catalog sometime in June as part of its Days of Play celebration.
Riven: The Sequel To Myst – June 2025
Though it was released in 1997, Riven, the follow-up to the renowned Myst, is still a masterpiece of a puzzle game. Like its predecessor, it’ll join the Classics catalog as part of the Days of Play celebration.
