Stardew Valley is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with a number of additional features, including mouse support.

As shown in the latest Nintendo Direct, Stardew Valley for Switch 2 will take advantage of Nintendo’s new console and allow mouse controls–which may prove superior to gamepad-style controls. Switch 2 Joy-Con 2’s can be used as mice in certain games, allowing for more granular control.

The Switch 2 version of the popular farming sim will also include four-player local split-screen co-op. Co-op can be done using the Switch’s GameShare functionality, where up to three other players can play a co-op session using just one copy of the game. Stardew Valley on Switch 2 will arrive this fall.

Stardew Valley isn’t the only game to received a Switch 2 edition. Nintendo additionally announced updated versions of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Overcooked 2, and Human Fall Flat coming in the near future, which will all take advantage of the Switch 2 hardware in different ways.

Nintendo spent the first 20 minutes of its latest showcase to celebrate Mario’s 40th anniversary by announcing The Super Mario Galaxy movie, remasters of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2, and a Nintendo Switch 2 edition of 2023’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The house of Mario also announced a release date for Metroid Prime 4 and new DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza.
