Steelbook Editions of Studio Ghibli’s best animated movies on Blu-ray are discounted to great prices at Amazon ahead of the retailer’s Prime Day 2025 sale, which kicks off July 8, the same day the new Steelbook Edition of Grave of the Fireflies hits shelves–you can snag a copy for $22 (was $27).

If you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli, chances are your favorite film is available on Blu-ray with an elegant steelbook case for $19 or less. The list of deals includes many of most beloved movies directed by Hayao Miyazaki, including Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki’s Delivery Service.

Studio Ghibli Movies on Blu-ray – Limited Edition Steelbooks

One of the coolest aspects of the Studio Ghibli Steelbook series is their shared design aesthetic, so they look great next to each other regardless of how you choose to display the colorful cases.

Three Limited Edition Steelbooks are up for grabs for $17.89 each: Porco Rosso, From Up on Poppy Hill, and When Marnie Was There. You can also pick up a handful of Studio Ghibli movies for $18.89 each, including the enduring classic Spirited Away as well as several of the other best-known Ghibli films: Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Princess Mononoke is discounted to slightly less at $18.43.

The Boy and the Heron is the only Ghibli film to release on 4K Blu-ray. The 4K Limited Edition Steelbook is discounted from $45 to $30. The cover design differs from previous releases, but considering Grave of the Fireflies follows the same design principles, it’s possible the general aesthetic of Studio Ghibli Steelbooks from Shout Factory will look like these going forward. Directed by Isao Takahata and released in 1989, Grave of the Fireflies tells a darker story than many Ghibli films. It’s set near the end of World War II and carries a PG-13 rating due to blood and gore.

A handful of Studio Ghibli hits have been adapted into comics over the years. Up until last year, many individual volumes of the Film Comics were difficult because they were out of print. Viz Media’s new All-in-One Editions have brought the Film Comics back to life as budget-friendly hardcover books. Film Comic adaptations of Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki’s Delivery Service are available now. Each book is comprised of still images from the movies alongside text that tells the full story in a different medium.

Spirited Away’s omnibus is the largest of the bunch at 856 pages, so it costs five bucks more than the other two available now–but it’s on sale for only $25.60 at Amazon. The All-in-One Edition of Ponyo’s Film Comic is available to preorder for $30 ahead of its July 22 publication date. You can also preorder Princess Mononoke Film Comic: All-in-One Edition for $32.55 (was $35) ahead of its January 2026 release.
