Are you trying to learn the locations of all Pollip Hearts in Hollow Knight: Silksong? These purple flowers can be found in the region of Shellwood. However, because the zone is littered with spike traps and other hazards, you need to be very careful when roaming around. Our guide has all the tips you need to make this endeavor a lot easier.
All Pollip Hearts in Hollow Knight: Silksong – Rite of the Pollip and Greyroot guide
The Rite of the Pollip quest comes from an NPC named Greyroot. You’ll find her in the lower-central section of the Shellwood zone. Specifically, she’s in a hut along the left-hand side of the second elevator shaft. Once you accept her side quest/wish, you have to obtain six Pollip Hearts. This is done by looking for large purple flowers and striking them until they release a glowing seed.

The map above shows you the locations of all Hollow Knight: Silksong Pollip Hearts. We’ve also included an icon for Greyroot’s exact spot.
Note that a couple of these items can be picked up early on. However, we recommend beating the Sister Splinter boss first, the main adversary in this zone. That’s because the path you unlock after defeating her rewards you with the Cling Grip ability–i.e. your trusty wall climb maneuver that’s useful if you’re trying to reach higher ledges.
Pollip Heart location #1
This Pollip Heart can be found in the same vertical shaft with the path that takes you to Greyroot’s hut. It’s at the top-right section of this chamber, so just go around the elevator and take out the buzzing flies.

To obtain this Hollow Knight: Silksong Pollip Heart, make sure you’re at the bench at the right-hand side of the zone. Take the lower-right exit, which leads back to the large cavern to Bellhart. Hop on the ledges until you see purple buds on the walls. Then, use Cling Grip to reach the large flower at the top.

This Pollip Heart is in the cavern with the large shrine–i.e. the one that grants the Cling Grip ability. Before you go up top, though, look at the middle-left portion of this room. There’s a hidden nook covered by vines.

This is the corridor that connects the large shrine and the bench/elevator to the right. You should see white flowers above the pond in the middle of this room. Pogo onto them and hit the purple bud at the top.

From the large shrine where you get the Cling Grip ability, take the top-right exit and follow it as it loops right, up, left, then back down. You need to pogo, wall climb, and destroy some vines to reveal a nook that has this purple bud.

This particular Hollow Knight: Silksong Pollip Heart is actually in a secret portion of Shellwood. Here’s a quick summary:
- Follow the right-hand path from the chamber where you fought and defeated the Sister Splinter boss.
- Wall climb at the end and go through the passageway back to Bellhart.
- You’ll find yourself in a section with narrow tunnels filled with bell-covered monsters. There’s also another Lost Flea in this room.
- Keep going down and make a left once you reach the bottom.
- This hidden passageway takes you back to Shellwood. Avoid the spikes and enemies as you move to the left.
- Cut down the vines in the lower-left corner to reveal a purple plant.
